Enrolments
Kindergarten
High School
Enrolment forms must be obtained from and processed through the office.
All children who are 5 years old by 31st of July may start school at the beginning of the current school year.
Please ensure that all sections are filled out. For example, the “language spoken at home”, assists with staffing for English as a Second Language (ESL).
ENROLMENTS (KINDERGARTEN)
A child is eligible if he/she is five by the 31st of July in the year of enrolment.
The school begins to organise Kindergarten enrolments about halfway through the year and letters are sent out to all children in the school asking parents to come to the office to collect enrolment forms for children who will be starting Kindergarten the following year. We also ask parents to let neighbours and friends, who have school-age children, know that they need to enrol their child.
Parents need to provide proof of age documentation (birth certificate or passport) and Immunisation Certificate for school entry.
During Term Four, a Kindergarten Orientation morning is held.
On this day:
- Enrolments are finalised.
- Parents are able to become familiar with the school and the programs we offer.
- Children are able to experience a taste of Kindergarten by spending some time in a Kindergarten class.
Parents and children will be advised and invited by letter to the Kindergarten Orientation Morning.
ENROLMENTS (HIGH SCHOOL)
Most students who attend our school are placed in one of the local high schools when they have completed Year 6.
Our local high schools are:
- Ashfield Boys’ High School
- Burwood Girls’ High School
Students who achieve particularly well in Year 6 may also be eligible for selective high school placement. Placement in selective high schools is made through competitive external statewide selection procedures.
The school arranges all normal high school enrolments. Parents are required to complete the forms sent home during the year. Generally, the local high schools conduct induction/orientation days for new Year 7 students towards the end of the year.
